An informal painter, in the 1960s he began a fruitful exhibition career that would lead him to set up several solo exhibitions around the world. In 1982, one of his solo exhibitions inaugurated the reopening of the Palazzo Forti in Verona. From 1970, after having developed a graphic heraldry with strongly contrasting colours, his painting began to define itself originally: within an aniconic setting, based on the absolute primacy of colour, his conceptual formulations are based on an intensely constructive rigor. From the mid-1980s, the colour, subtle and very bright, acquired those modulations and nuances that would later become characteristics of his most recent production, characterised by ropes that harness various objects of daily use.
