BEN VAUTIER (Naples - 1935)
An eclectic, restless and provocative artist, he was part of the movement of the School of Nice, Fluxus and Nouveau Reéalism, he condemned the oppressive commercial imperialism of the art system and fought for the demolition of any barrier between artistic disciplines and people: "Everything is art and everyone can make it". His works, often linked to performances, are characterized by ironic and provocative objects and writings, always with his unmistakable calligraphy.
